Microfinance Post-Tsunami

In November 2008 Cordaid published a paper about Post-Tsunami microfinance. The paper is based on Cordaid's experience with supporting the reconstruction and rebuilding of resilient communities after the Tsunami via MFIs in Sri Lanka, India and Indonesia.

One of the most important conclusions of the paper is that the right timing is more important than the speed of acting. Only after rehabilitation it is possible for victims to build up a new life and get back in business.
