MicroNed's Working Group on Rural Financial Services commissioned a study into MicroNed member's partner MFIs working on rural finance, the challenges they face, appropriate support from donors, lessons learned and good practises. The aim of the study was to learn from each others support practices in the area of rural finance.

The study includes a quantitative portfolio analysis of rural MFIs, an overview of MicroNed members policies, institutional set-up and supporting instruments, and several case studies highlighting successes and challenges of different supporting approaches of the MicroNed members. It is published by Microned, ICCO and Terrafina Microfinance. The study can be downloaded below. A hardcopy can be ordered via info@terrafina.nl at the cost of 10 euro.
