SPM Film 
The SPM film "Fulfilling the promise: Managing social performance" provides a practical introduction to SPM and why it makes sense, as well as guidance on first steps. It is available in two versions (short and long) and in four languages (Arabic, English, French and Spanish). The long English version (21 minutes) is accessible on youtube. A DVD can be order via the Imp-Act consortium.

SPM Practice Guide
This guide is written for MFIs committed to managing and achieving their social mission, and the organisations that support these MFIs. Inside, you will find step-by-step guidance on integrating a social lens into performance management systems. This practice guide draws upon experience and lessons learnt from over 45 MFIs and support organisations across the industry, detailing:

SPM Rating Method - Microfinanza
In November 2007 Microfinanance Rating Agency Microfinanza gave a presentation on their Social Performance Rating Method at the offices of Hivos. At that time Microfinanza had conducted 6 social ratings in Latin America (Mexico, Nicaragua), Eastern Europe (Roemenia) and in Togo. Microfinanza includes a client survey in their rating process, for which they use the PPI (poverty progress index) method, which provides information on the absolute poverty levels of clients.
